Engagement and Fuzing Solutions for Precision Fires
The MLRS (M270 platform) using the PNA with an embedded GPS is upgradable to meet the future M-Code requirements. The HIMARS missile launcher platforms use the Upgrades Position Navigation Unit (UPNU), an older version of the PNA with the same functionality. The PNA and UPNU also provides a "hot start" at the initial starting coordinates for the guided missiles just prior to firing.
Features: High performance RLG, MOSA, high commonality with other programs
PNA Benefits: Azimuth probable error 40% better than spec, M-Code upgradable, low life cycle cost
DRU-H-R Benefits: High pointing and stabilization accuracy, easily upgradable, low life cycle cost, extended firing range to 70 km
Launchers
Position Navigation Assembly (PNA) and Dynamic Reference Unit-Hybrid-Replacement (DRU-H-R) for modernized warfare.
